Hi, my name is Joe.
I am a user experience researcher.¶
User research is fun! Understanding motivations and uncovering needs is a rewarding job, especially when you and your work are driving and changing the design or strategy of a product!
My research skills are focused on understanding and researching user behavior, based on my work experience of more than fourteen years and my knowledge in computer science and information science.
I am a team player who contributes to product or service design and delivery by:
- researching user needs with a mixed-methods approach with an emphasis on qualitative research methods using prototypes and design thinking,
- analyzing existing business processes and business models,
- understanding the perspectives of all stakeholders in a project or product, and
- developing pragmatic and effective solutions to design positive service or product experiences.
My strong analytical skills, creativity, and my wealth of knowledge are the key resources that I am drawing from to make user research impactful in industrial and academic work settings. Continuous learning and iteration are part of my approach. Moreover, I strive for effective stakeholder involvement, communication, and dissemination of findings and results.
I have a proven track record of executing impactful user research in complex domains as demonstrated by:
- working in a SaaS environment with a B2B focus spanning many areas within an entire Enterprise Resource Planning system, and
- working on services that had envisioned to bridge the private and public sectors involving the integration of their processes and data.
